Crispy Cheesy Millet Patties – the easiest mealprep-friendly fingerfood

Eat these patties right away with a green or fresh carrot salad when they are still hot and crispy. They are also delicious when served cold, for a snack or a picnic. For mealprep store them ready to eat in the fridge or put them away in the freezer and reheat in the microwave.

Ingredients :

  • 200 g of millet
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g grated Emmental cheese
  • 100 g crème fraîche
  • Salt and pepper
  • some neutral oil for the pan

Instructions:

  1. Place the millet in a rice cooker and cover it with twice the amount of water. Check the water level by dipping your finger. After cooking, let it cool for a few minutes.
  2. Add the cheese, eggs, crème fraîche, and seasonings, and let sit for a few minutes, OR you can store the mixture in the fridge even until the next day.
  3. Shape small patties using an ice cream scoop and fry them in a pan with a little oil on each side.
