Apple Crumble

Yield: 4 servings

Serve warm with a scoop of greek yogurt.

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 4 apples (about 1 kg)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the crumble topping:

  • 100g flour
  • 100g cold butter
  • 50g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
    2. In a bowl, make the crumble topping by combining all ingredients. Use your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside in the fridge.
    3. Cut and transfer the apples to the baking dish, spreading them out evenly.
    4. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
    6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
